Kite Beach, just north of the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, is a great day out and there is something to do for everyone. We started out at the skateboard park just across the road from the beach. Flow Kitchen at Fairmont, The Palm presents a buffet that is worthy of a few extra courses. The setting is spacious and nicely appointed and the staff are polite and attentive, as you’d expect from a hotel of this calibre.

We are only here by luck. Our Bateaux Dubai cruise was an ‘extra’ on our resort weekend stay at the JA Palm Tree Court. We nearly decided to forego it, though thank goodness we didn’t!
