Brunch At Cé La Vie

Brunch At Cé La Vie

Some brunches are about the food. Some are about the views. And some, if you’re lucky, are about the people sitting across the table from you.

Brunch at Cé La Vie Dubai was all three.

Stacey & Evelyn

Perched high above the city in the Address Sky View, Cé La Vie delivers one of the most talked-about brunch experiences in Dubai. But this wasn’t just another weekend indulgence. This brunch mattered because it was shared with Stacey & Evelyn, friends visiting from Brisbane, seeing Dubai through fresh eyes and soaking in a city that never fails to impress.

Views that never get old

From the first sip of margarita to the last lingering look at the Burj Khalifa, this was the kind of brunch that reminds you why Dubai does brunch better than anywhere else in the world.

First Impressions

Dubai knows how to do drama and Cé La Vie understands the assignment perfectly.

From the moment you step into the Address Sky View, the anticipation builds. The lobby boasts a desk full of the restaurant’s awards to set the scene. From here, elevators glide upward, doors open and suddenly the city stretches out below you. Glass, steel, sunlight, and the unmistakable presence of the Burj Khalifa, standing tall and unapologetic just across the way.

For friends visiting from Brisbane, this moment hits differently.

I see it on their faces – the pause, the slight laugh of disbelief, the phones already out. Dubai has a way of doing that. Even seasoned travelers find themselves quietly impressed.

Cé La Vie’s terrace opens up like a cinematic reveal. The infinity pool glimmers, the skyline frames the space and the restaurant hums with that unmistakable brunch energy: laughter, music, clinking glasses and the low buzz of people determined to enjoy their weekend properly.

The Setting

Let’s be honest – the view at Cé La Vie Dubai is the headline act.

With Burj Khalifa views

Sitting outdoors, the Burj Khalifa feels close enough to touch. The perspective is perfect, giving you that postcard angle that somehow still feels surreal in real life. Below, Downtown Dubai pulses with movement, while up here everything feels unhurried and indulgent.

For my visitors, the contrast is striking. Blue skies meet towering architecture and the scale of the city never quite stops being fascinating. This is Dubai at its most photogenic, and Cé La Vie places you right in the center of it.

Yet the space never feels overwhelming. Soft furnishings, tasteful greenery and a layout designed for lingering make it easy to relax. This is a place built for long conversations, shared plates and the kind of brunch that gently rolls from midday into afternoon without anyone checking the time.

The Vibe

Cé La Vie nails that sweet spot between luxury and approachability.

Yes, it’s polished. Yes, it’s glamorous. But it’s also fun. The music stays upbeat without overpowering conversation. Staff move with confidence and warmth, striking a perfect balance between attentive and relaxed.

Shrimp tempura

Brunch here feels social in the best possible way. Tables buzz with energy, friends lean in to talk and there’s a collective agreement that today is for enjoyment. No rush. No stress. Just good food, great company and one of the best brunch settings Dubai has to offer.

For my friends and I, this seems to be where Dubai brunch culture really clicks. It’s not just a meal. This is an experience. One that’s designed to be shared.

The Food

While the views draw us in, the food at Cé La Vie Dubai keeps us seated.

Braised beef bao buns

The brunch menu is beautifully curated, offering a mix of refined comfort and creative flair. Every dish arrives plated like a work of art, but nothing feels overly precious. This is food meant to be eaten, shared and enjoyed.

Starters That Set the Tone

Brunch begins with a selection of starters that immediately establish quality.

Sushi platter: Salmon nigiri, tuna nigiri, salmon avocado maki, California maki

Fresh seafood takes center stage. Think delicate textures, clean flavors and perfect seasoning. Sushi arrives chilled and pristine, tasting like the ocean with just a squeeze of citrus. Light ceviche-style dishes balance acidity and freshness beautifully, waking up the palate without overwhelming it.

Burata salad with rocket arugula, nectarine, pickled red onion, endive, candied walnuts, nectarine shiso vinaigrette

There’s also a strong showing of inspired small plates – creamy burrata salad, bite size braised beef bao buns and perfectly baked Japanese milk bread that begs to be torn apart and shared. These are dishes designed to bring people together, encouraging conversation and that familiar “you have to try this” moment across the table.

Mains That Impress Without Overcomplicating

Miso black cod

When the mains arrive, Cé La Vie proves it understands restraint.

The stir fried sesame chicken is cooked with confidence. Miso black cod flakes apart effortlessly, and the grilled strip loin arrives tender and full of flavor. The vegetarian options – black truffle ‘sushi rice’ risotto and udon noodles with shimeji mushrooms and bonito flakes – hold their own with thoughtful seasoning and texture. The kitchen doesn’t try to reinvent classics, it refines them.

There’s a sense of balance across the menu. Rich dishes are offset by lighter options, making it easy to sample widely without feeling overwhelmed. This is brunch food that respects the pace of the afternoon, allowing you to enjoy course after course without hitting that dreaded post-brunch slump too early.

For Evelyn, the quality stands out. Dubai’s reputation for extravagance often comes with skepticism, but Cé La Vie delivers substance to match the style.

Desserts Worth Saving Room For

Dessert at Cé La Vie is not an afterthought, it’s a finale.

Cé La Vie dessert platter: Mango basil tart, creme brûlée, pistachio Madeline, kalamansi sorbet, caramel bomboloni

Our dessert platter arrive elegant and indulgent without crossing into excess. Think silky textures, balanced sweetness and presentation that make you pause before taking the first bite. Sharing desserts becomes non-negotiable, with forks crossing paths as everyone samples everything.

Paired with an espresso martini and that still-unreal view, dessert becomes the moment when conversation slows slightly, laughter deepens and you realize just how good this afternoon is.

Drinks: Brunch Done Properly

No Dubai brunch is complete without a solid drinks offering, and Cé La Vie delivers.

Bubbles flow freely (with the champagne package), cocktails arrive perfectly balanced and there’s a confidence behind the bar that shows in every pour. Classic brunch cocktails sit alongside more creative options, making it easy to stick with favorites or try something new.

For our afternoon on the terrace, the experience feels celebratory. There’s something undeniably joyful about raising a glass high above the city, sunlight catching the rim and toasting to friendship and travel.

Non-alcoholic options receive just as much attention, with refreshing mocktails and juices that feel intentional rather than obligatory.

Sharing Dubai Through Fresh Eyes

What truly elevated this brunch was who we shared it with.

Showing Dubai to friends is always a reminder of how extraordinary this city can be. Things you might take for granted suddenly feel new again when you see someone else experience them for the first time.

Their reactions – wide-eyed views, genuine appreciation for the food, disbelief at the setting – added another layer to the day. Brunch became more than just a meal. It became a shared memory, one that captured the spirit of Dubai perfectly.

There’s joy in being able to say, “This is what brunch looks like here.” And Cé La Vie makes that statement effortlessly.

Enjoying the view, the food and the company

Good To Know

Cé La Vie Dubai doesn’t rely on gimmicks. It succeeds because it understands what makes a great brunch: exceptional views that never get old, thoughtfully prepared food that delivers on flavor and a welcoming atmosphere in a setting designed for connection and conversation.

Whether you’re a Dubai local, a frequent visitor, or hosting friends from overseas, this is the kind of brunch that leaves a lasting impression.

It captures the best of the city in a single afternoon – luxury without pretension, indulgence without excess and a reminder that some of the best travel moments happen around a table.

Would I Return?

Yes.
